# Creating your first trousers with AI – Knee Width

## Best practice

![The trousers must remain comfortable, even when seated with legs bent, without being too wide. ## When to adjust

### ⚠️ Do not taper too much

One of our most frequent warranty returns comes from men who reduce the knee width but then feel uncomfortable after sitting for a long time. Trust the AI!

### 🏋🏻 You are athletic

If you have developed thighs or calves, you will need a little more width. Feel free to add 1 cm for comfort.

### 🧱 You are short and broad

We advise tapering the trousers (making the slimmer) to add length visually. The AI has already taken this into account, but you can still remove 1 cm if you wish.

### 🪜 You are tall and slim

We advise widening the trousers to add breadth visually. The AI has already taken this into account, but you can still add 1 cm if you wish.

## Compare with a pair you already own

||| Compare with trousers containing a maximum of 2 % elastane. If you measure a very stretchy “skinny” pair, be careful! LE CHEMISEUR® trousers are slightly stretch for comfort but keep a classic structure.
