How the sleeve should fit

When standing naturally with your arms relaxed and the cuff unbuttoned, the sleeve should end approximately 3 cm above the base of your thumb. This length allows the cuff to sit comfortably at the wrist while maintaining an elegant appearance and good freedom of movement. A sleeve that is too short may ride up when you move, while a sleeve that is too long can create unnecessary folds at the wrist.

LE CHEMISEUR® tips

🤏 Allow for shrinkage

We recommend washing your shirt two or three times before deciding whether any adjustments are necessary.
Alternatively, you can simply allow an extra 1 cm. LE CHEMISEUR®'s AI already compensates for the specific shrinkage characteristics of each fabric.

👔 Wearing your shirt with a jacket

For a classic and elegant look, the shirt cuff should extend approximately 1 cm beyond the jacket sleeve.

📏 Balancing your proportions

Taller men may add 1 cm to the sleeve length, which can make the arms appear slightly less long in proportion to the body.
Shorter men may prefer to remove 1 cm for a more balanced overall silhouette.

👕 Special case: short-sleeve shirts

If you would like a short-sleeve shirt, keep your usual long-sleeve measurement here.
Then go to Customisation → Cuffs and select "Short Sleeves".
The AI will automatically calculate an optimal short-sleeve length for your build.
If you prefer, you can also enter an exact short-sleeve length, for example 24 cm.

Compare with a Shirt You Already Own

Lay the sleeve flat on a table and smooth out any wrinkles. Measure from the end of the cuff to the shoulder seam where the sleeve is attached to the shirt. For French cuffs, fold the cuff as it would be worn before taking the measurement.

Tolerance: A difference of ±1 cm between your measurement and your Clé de Coupe is completely normal and falls within our manufacturing tolerances.
