Caring for my shirt
How should I wash, dry and iron my shirt?

Washing
1. Sort your laundry by color
- Always wash white shirts separately from dark or coloured garments to prevent colour transfer.
2. Prepare your shirt
- Lift the collar and remove the collar stays if your shirt has removable stays.
3. Protect your laundry
- Close zippers and ensure nothing can snag your clothes.
4. Wash at low temperature
- We recommend washing your shirt at 30°C to preserve the fibres and colours.
5. Pre-treat stains
- If necessary, apply a stain remover before washing, especially on collar marks or yellow stains.
6. Avoid fabric softener
- Fabric softeners can damage fibres over time and reduce the lifespan of your shirt.
7. Use a gentle spin cycle
- Choose a spin speed of 900 rpm or less to minimise deep creases and make ironing easier.
8. Do not use a tumble dryer
- Air drying is gentler on the fabric and helps maintain the shirt's shape and durability.
9. Dry immediately on a hanger
- As soon as the wash cycle is finished, place the shirt on a hanger and smooth the fabric by hand. This helps prevent wrinkles and significantly reduces ironing time.
Special care instructions for stretch fabrics: Our French poplin is made from 80% organic cotton and 20% innovative technical fibres. This combination makes the fabric comfortable, slightly stretchy and particularly easy to iron. However, stretch fabrics should not be ironed at excessively high temperatures. How can I remove yellow stains from a white shirt?
Yellow marks can sometimes appear on the collars of white shirts due to perspiration and regular wear.
Recommended solution
Apply a stain-removing spray to the affected area before washing.
Leave it to work for a few minutes, then wash the shirt as usual following the care instructions.
Most stain removers available in supermarkets are suitable for treating collar stains and restoring the brightness of white fabrics.
