How to return an item?

Wash your shirt two or three times before deciding on adjustments. If your new item is slightly too large (by 1–2 cm), that's normal: our AI automatically anticipates the natural shrinkage of the fabric.
You can have your shirt or trousers adjusted by your local tailor and get reimbursed. Check the list of possible alterations by a tailor.
Do you prefer we handle everything? It’s easy: log in to your customer account, select your item, then click on **“Start from this shirt / these trousers”. **Your measurements will be pre-filled automatically.
Easily adjust your Fit Key with our step-by-step tutorials, as if you were ordering a new shirt. It's easy, your first garment serves as a reference.

5. Complete your order by entering the gift code retour-H4GB in the dedicated field. You’ll receive a prepaid return label by email within one business day, or we might let you keep the original shirt. Please allow around two weeks for an alteration, or standard production times for a complete remake.

Best practice for sleeve length

Standing, arms relaxed and with the cuff button open, the sleeve ends about 3 cm above the base of your thumb.

LE CHEMISEUR® tips

🤏 Allow for shrinkage

Wash the shirt 2–3 times before deciding on alterations. The AI already compensates for the typical 1–2 cm shrinkage of each fabric.

👔 Wearing your shirt with a jacket

The shirt cuff should extend about 1 cm beyond the jacket sleeve.

📏 Balancing for height

Very tall wearers can add + 1 cm so the arms look less long; shorter wearers often subtract – 1 cm for better proportions.

👕 Special case : short-sleeve shirts

Keep your usual long-sleeve length and, under Personalise › Cuffs, select “Short Sleeves”; we will calculate an optimum fit automatically for your build. You can also enter an exact short-sleeve length here (e.g. 24 cm).

How to measure sleeve length on a shirt

Lay the sleeve flat and measure from the end of the cuff to the seam where it meets the shoulder. French cuffs should be folded, as when worn. Most ready-to-wear shirts have sleeves around 64 cm long.
