Creating your first shirt with our AI: shoulder width

The Ideal Shoulder Width

Are you creating your first LE CHEMISEUR® shirt with our AI sizing system and would like to adjust the shoulder width? This page is for you.

Best Practices for Shoulder Width

The top of the sleeve should meet the tip of the shoulder bone. A correct shoulder placement keeps the armhole smooth while preserving enough freedom of movement.

Trust the AI

The LE CHEMISEUR® AI is based on more than ten years of expertise and the data of over 50,000 customers.

For the vast majority of men, it provides an excellent shoulder width recommendation. In addition, your first order is covered by our 100-Day Fit Guarantee.

🏋 Broad or very narrow build

If you have particularly broad shoulders, you may add 1 cm for additional ease.

If you prefer a cleaner, more fitted silhouette or have a narrower build, you may remove 1 cm.

⚖ High or sloping shoulders

If you have high, horizontal shoulders, you may reduce the shoulder width by 1 cm.

If you have sloping shoulders, you may increase the shoulder width by 1 cm. In this case, we also recommend increasing the armhole height by the same 1 cm.

📏 Effect on sleeve length

Changing the shoulder width shifts the sleeve length by the same amount. If you widen the shoulder by 1 cm, shorten the sleeves by 1 cm—and vice-versa.
