Creating your first trousers with AI – Waist Width

You are creating your first LE CHEMISEUR® trousers with our AI and would like to check the waist width? This page is for you.

Best practice

The waist width of the trousers should keep them in place while remaining comfortable, even when seated.

LE CHEMISEUR® tips

💪 Trust the AI

Do not rely on another brand’s trouser size—we have measured many and found differences of several cm for the same stated size. Trust the AI, or if you want to be sure, measure trousers you like (see below).

🪀 You hesitate between two sizes or your weight fluctuates

Choose the larger one; a belt is a fine accessory and easily compensates for 1 or 2 cm too much width at the waist.

📏 You are athletic, or on the contrary have a belly

If you selected one of these two body types in the first step, the AI has already adjusted the waistband by up to ± 2 cm compared with the average morphology for the weight, height, and age you entered.

Compare with trousers you already own

Lay the trousers flat with the button closed and measure the width on the inside of the waistband (not the outer edge). Prefer trousers with a rigid (non stretch) waistband. If they are stretch, stretch them fully to measure the entire width.
