Creating your first shirt with our AI : left cuff circumference

Are you creating your first LE CHEMISEUR® shirt with our AI sizing system and would like to adjust the left cuff circumference? This page is for you.

How Should the Cuff Fit?

The cuff should be fitted enough to stay comfortably at the wrist and prevent the sleeve from sliding over your hand, while remaining easy to fasten and comfortable throughout the day. As a rule of thumb, you should be able to pinch approximately 1.5 cm of fabric at the side of the cuff.

We recommend adding + 1 cm to the wrist on the side where you wear a watch. This almost-imperceptible allowance still lets you wear the shirt without a watch. The AI added it automatically if you selected “Watch worn on the left”.

When should I adjust the cuff circumference?

In most cases, there is no need to modify this measurement. Our AI generally provides an excellent recommendation.

📏 Slim wrists

If you have particularly slim wrists, you may reduce the cuff circumference by 1 cm.

You will usually still be able to fasten the cuff comfortably, although rolling up the sleeves may become slightly more difficult.

⌚ Bulky watch

If you wear a large or bulky watch, consider adding 2 cm to the cuff circumference on the watch side instead of the standard 1 cm allowance.

Compare with a shirt you already own

Unbutton the cuff and lay it flat. Measure from the centre of the button to the centre of the buttonhole. For French cuffs, measure from the centre of one buttonhole to the centre of the opposite buttonhole. This measurement corresponds to the cuff circumference used in your Clé de Coupe. A difference of ±1 cm between your measurement and your Clé de Coupe is completely normal and falls within our manufacturing tolerances.
