Adjusting trouser waist width

You already own LE CHEMISEUR® trousers and would like to adjust the waist? This page is for you.

Best practice

The waist width of the trousers should keep them in place while remaining comfortable, even when seated.

LE CHEMISEUR® tips

⚠️ Adjust by half circumference

We define the waistband as measured flat on the finished product.
If you want to increase 🔄 4 cm on the hip circumference, add ↔️ 2 cm to the waistband width.

🔁 Also adjust the hips when you adjust the waist

If you adjust the waist after weight loss or gain, you will generally need to adjust the hips by roughly the same amount; otherwise, the trousers may become distorted.

🪀 You hesitate between two sizes or your weight fluctuates

Choose the larger one—a belt is a handsome accessory and easily compensates for 1 or 2 cm too much.

Measuring the waist width on trousers

Lay the trousers flat with the button closed and measure the width on the inside of the waistband (not the outer edge).
